A Vero Beach, Florida woman has been accused of spraying her neighbor’s two dogs with ant killer. Carol Sue Watt was arrested on Friday and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.

A Vero Beach, Florida woman has been accused of spraying her neighbor’s two dogs with ant killer. Carol Sue Watt was arrested on Friday and charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty.

According to AbcNews, deputies reported a neighbor owning a German shepherd and a Doberman pinscher had just let her dogs out in her own fenced-in yard when she heard the dogs barking. An arrest report stated the owner of the dogs as well as other neighbors witnessed Watt, 75, spraying the dogs in their faces with a yellow canister.

Watt defended her actions telling authorities she had been spraying her hanging plants and did not intentionally spray the dogs, however witnesses stated they have seen Watts against the fence purposely antagonizing the dogs. It is not known if the dogs were injured.

Bond for release had been set at $1,000.
